David Drebin was born in 1970. He graduated from Parsons School for Design in 1966. The artist lives and works in Toronto, Canada and Manhattan, New York.
Drebin, who emphasized the female figure in his photographic works, lately concentrates on lightboxes, neon light installations and etchings on glass. The artist gathers his photographs, which he took all around the world and especially in New York, under a single title: ‘Dreamscapes’. From ‘Dreamscapes’ series, an edition of a photograph from Istanbul, ’The Bosphorus’ is the part of permanent collection of Istanbul Modern Museum. Drebin’s artworks also a part of the Borusan Contemporary Art Colleciton.
In 2018, Drebin’s artworks will meet with the Turkish audience both in his solo show in Sevil Dolmacı Art Gallery and 13th edition of Contemporary Istanbul.
