Young sculptor Umut Can Aslan’s first ever solo exhibition “Rhythmic Reflections” will take place between October 15 – November 15, 2019 at Sevil Dolmacı Art Gallery
Umut Can Aslan participated in many group shows and his works already entered numerous private collections. The semi-figurative and abstract sculptures of Umut Can Aslan primarily made of marble reflect the everlasting rhythm of nature and music. Inspired by and researching the forms found in nature, Aslan first started sculpting in wood. With his unique interpretation, Aslan’s demonstrates the intervention in what already exists in nature.
Aslan, who creates repetitive, flowing forms in his abstract sculptures, aims to achieve a dynamic rhythm and flow in each of his sculptures.
With his first solo show ‘‘Rhythmic Reflections’’, Aslan invites art lovers to rediscover the material and the form.
